| The graphic style of the integrated police is first and foremost recognisable on the many vehicles of the federal and local police.
A police vehicle must above all be representative of its service. It must also be clearly visible and recognisable, night and day.
The graphic style elements represent the integrated character of the police as well as the difference between the local and federal levels. Those elements have to be innovative, original and unique and symbolise open-mindedness and accessibility.
These are the reasons why the designers of the new striping of the police vehicles deliberately opted for an unmistakable graphic style, which also appears on the headed notepaper of the integrated police.
To create this graphic style, the logo designers stretched and moved apart the smooth and harmonious lines of the logo, repeated them in a regular way, pivoted them at an angle of 90 degrees and applied them on several types of support like headed notepaper, name badges, desk pads or the website.
Four of these lines now appear on the vehicles’ sides. They have been widened in order to make them clearly visible. The upper line differentiates between the local and federal levels: light blue for the local level and ochre for the federal level.
On one side of the vehicle, the four lines are drawn at the front. On the other side, they are drawn at the rear. The “Police” logo and, as far as the local police are concerned, the name of the zone are affixed on both sides.
At the front and at the rear of the vehicles, two wide lines differentiate by their color the local from the federal police vehicles.
The smooth lines are made of reflective vinyl in order to ensure good visibility, night and day.
In this way, the police vehicles are identifiable at any time and from any angle.
