Basic standards of the integrated police
The police reform and the creation of an integrated police structured on two levels, i.e. a local and a federal level, are symbolized by a logo representing a hand or a flame, according to the different views. The circle encompassing this symbol reinforces the idea of integration.
The smooth lines of the flame or hand represent the wish to harmonize the daily relations between the different police corps and the population.
The blue color symbolizes the mutual trust that should make those relations possible as well as the maintenance of law and order and optimum security for everyone.
The police continuously strive for the accomplishment of this mission. The notion of service is at the root of the design and creation of the logo.
The different colors, ochre for the federal police and light blue for the local police, are used to underline the lettering under the logo and enable to subtly differentiate both levels.
The coherent and strict application of the identity standards of the integrated police, structured on two levels, is to guarantee their recognition and durability, which are essential for the exercise of their duties. The strong image of the police is linked with the application of those standards. Awareness of this strong image and full implication of the police members constitute success and credibility factors.
Federal version
The ochre line is specific to the federal level, while the light blue one represents the local level.
