The dog’s head in the centre of the logo is the characteristic symbol of the police dog.

The blue background symbolizes the integrated police in his role within the borders (represented by the tricolour) as well as outside the borders, by means of international police cooperation.

The orange outer circle symbolizes the federal police, to which the Dog Support Unit belongs.

“CONIUNCTIS VIRIBUS” stands for “WITH UNITED POWERS”, which refers to the relation between the handler and the dog, but also to the cooperation with other police services, emergency services, judicial and administrative authorities and citizens.

“POLICE FEDERALE POLITIE” indicates the unit’s bilingualism.
- “DACH” is the official abbreviation of the Dog Support Unit.
